After graduating from RISD where he was trained as a goldsmith, Philip and his sister began creating unique pieces from their NYC studio, which led them to eventually launch their own line in 2001. Their inspiration comes from history, which can be seen in his works, which infuse palettes of gold, wrought iron, and steel. Philip Crangi was one of the winners of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Award for best designer.
